1- Cleaning engine oil transfer piping

This video shows an internal cleaning operation, performed by System Fluid s.r.l., on a new engine oil distribution piping system within the plant of a leading automotive manufacturer. The aim was to remove all processing residues that could contaminate the oil and accidentally end up downstream of the filters and thus in the engine. The cleaning operation involved the repeated firing of several Complex projectiles. Thanks to their flexibility and surface porosity, they can easily handle the most tortuous paths and diameter constriction in the presence of welds, effectively removing particles of various sizes.
The projectiles were analyzed to measure the amount of residue removed until the desired result was determined, based on the customer's specifications.

In this case, the maximum limit was 1 mg/linear meter of particulate matter. All sections reported results below the required limit. At the end of the work, a final flushing operation was performed with turbulent flow washing oil. This oil, taken at the end of the line, was analysed, confirming the results already obtained.

2- Cleaning a (new) hydraulic pipe for Automotive

This video demonstrates the cleaning of a hydraulic pipe to be reworked for use in the automotive industry.

The particles visible in the video, like other processing residues, are often not removed by simple washing and remain attached to the pipe wall throughout the processing phases, remaining in the finished product for assembly. The subsequent detachment of these particles can seriously jeopardize the reliability of the components installed in the same system.

3- Shipyard, cleaning diesel pipes from construction waste

This video shows how easily it was possible to clean the fuel lines that carry diesel fuel from the tank to the ship's engine.

The lines have an internal diameter of 80 mm and are approximately 100 m long, with a very rugged path, shaped with 90° bends and the various segments welded together.

Once this pipeline has been installed, it is essential to clean the interior of any welding residue.
Previously, the solution was to circulate diesel fuel through the pipeline for 30 days so that its action would remove as much of the residue as possible. A couple of hours of work and the use of nine projectiles were sufficient, gradually removing the welding residue until a satisfactory result was achieved.

Laboratory analyses revealed that the cleaning performed achieved a better result than traditional diesel fuel flushing, while also saving a significant amount of time and product.
